In this one-day class, you will learn everything you need to know to move from renter to homeowner — from understanding your credit score and building savings to navigating the mortgage process, comparing loan options, and knowing what to expect at closing. Our housing specialists break it all down in plain language, so you leave with a real plan, not just information.
Classes are held on the second Saturday of every month at our Redbird office and are open to all Dallas-area residents interested in homeownership. Completion of a HUD-approved education course is also a required step for many down payment assistance programs, including BOH CDC's own homebuyer assistance offerings.
